Sometime in 2024 I decided to take a break from social media, and I have never returned. The decision was preceded with a good year of contemplation, most of it oscillating in and around aspects that I felt were deeply out of alignment with my innate creative process.  Recalibration. With a huge body of creative work themed around transmutation, my entire system has been engaged in legacies of recalibrative adjustments! Posting on social media did not allow me to traverse these journeys in ways that felt authentic, and/or in an integral, full-power, alignment with my current rapidly optimizing, creative process!
Its not to say a YAY or NAY about social media. I have had phases of evolution and connection in it all, that have been inspiring for me as an artist. I have enjoyed many aspects of it, and can see myself returning possibly at some future time, with a clear sense of how I could participate in ways that are socially uplifting and inspiring.  Ways that feel good to me.

I was surprised by the kind of relief I felt by leaving my Instagram. It was immense and it was immediate.  I can say that I experienced an extreme dichotomy between my tactile world as an artist, and my social media presence.  A core part of my transmutation process has been about taking guidance from my inner self, and not from outer/external validation. Another interesting element that fell into disharmony was with regards to "time". My artwork is extremely detailed and timely, so the fast pace of social media posting seemed to penetrate my sense of peacefull timing.

"Mushroom Fractal Portal 2222" / Connection, unification, support, nervine. Originally a pen and ink illustration, created in one quarter, mirrored horizontally, then vertically, (4 directions, air, water fire, earth) Design created for a silkscreen.  Above image watercolored.
Vending booth for markets and festivals.  Back round banners displaying the "Hummingbird Bee" imagery.   Table cloth created from the "Plant and Bee Medicine"  design (see link at left for more information) Ballard Sunday Market (Seattle) was the birthing place for this brand, with a community supporting its evolution over the past years.
Oracle Cards began in 2025. All of the artwork over the past decade has been formatted into a cohesive collection of oracle cards that explore the dynamics of the creative process.  The process itself has been nothing less than profound in it's unfolding. The oracle deck will be ready sometime in the Fall of 2025.
Most of the t-shirt imagery was created  at the Ballard Sunday Market. Another endearing aspect of the brand's evolution, capturing the natural essence of the city's robust farmer's market, where the street has become a meeting place and portal for that which is farm grown, hand created.  The "Queen Bee" t-shirt illustrating the 'life / death / rebirth' cycles of nature.
